1:: Waking worlds is science fiction based! Futuristic, strange new technologies and colonies on other worlds, perhaps even alien contact! Please try to keep the flavor of your character and posts consistent!
2:: Read the Character Generation rules, they have vital information you'll need to play here.
3:: Sex and violence are allowed on this board, though as stated in the Rules of Posting, you must PM a player and ask permission before harming or molesting that player's character.
4:: No do-overs. If a character or NPC dies "onscreen", they're not going to come back somehow.
Example: Joe levels his lasercannon at Rick and fires, blowing a bowling ball sized hole in Rick's chest. Rick chokes, blood trickling from the corners of his lips as tiny flames lick at the edges of the hole. His knees collapse under him and his dead body goes down like a sack of bricks.
That is an "onscreen death". Rick will not be coming back.
Example 2: Lisa and Willard run from the collapsing tunnel behind them, the crazed laughter of the trapped Harvey still echoing over the sounds of snapping beams and rending steel. Ahead, sunlight and freedom beckons. Willard hoists Lisa up through the open ventilation shaft, then pulls himself through just in time. A heavy plate of steel falls over the shaft, sharp enough to have cut Willard's leg off had he been a second slower. Finally, Harvey's laughter is silenced...
That is an "offscreen death". Harvey's death was not actually seen, and he could possibly find a way to escape the wreckage himself. He may return, if the moderator approves it.
