Corporal Kareen Vickers entered the cafeteria. She selected her supper, a plate of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and beets, and a carafe of ice tea. Carrying her tray she crossed over to the computer area. Good a computer was open. She hadn't checked on the D&D group since yesterday. Putting her tray down by the computer . She logged in an typed "Luna goes to the bar and gets an ale then takes a seat by the fireplace. " Luna was her Elvin cleric in this game. Karen waited for a response from one of her friends,

Azuka the Paladin strides up to Luna with a handful of want ads from the board hanging by the bar. "Good Morrow, Luna," She says, "Looking for work today?"
A little smilie face hangs over the Paladin's head, showing her to be part of Luna's party. ;D

"Indeed!" types Kareen as Luna "After the day off yesterday, I am in need of funds, or will be before many days hence. What hast though found in the ads?"
Kareen glance around the room wondering if Azuka was someone she knew on the base. She took an few bites of her supper and waited

"Here is a mission to rescue a stolen goat from a pack of theiving goblins," The paladin replies, "Or if you prefer a greater challenge, we could deliver another message past the gnolls on the road to Pendleton."
All the others at the cyber-cafe seem to be busy typing e-mails or video-chatting with relatives at home. No one quite catches Kareen's eye as someone who could fill the shoes of the tall, robust woman in plate mail on the computer screen.

"It is probably too late to rescue the goat from the Goblins, " said Luna " I am not fond of their style of bar-b-que, so lets sign up to deliver the message. Have you seen any of the other lately? Pablo is general up to earn some gold."
Kareen wished she had a way of knowing who the other players were and when they would be on.

"Our last encounter with the gnolls on that road depleted our potion supplies. Perhaps we should pool our wealth and purchase some additional healing before we depart." Azuka the Paladin replies.
The guy sitting behind Kareen stealthily swipes some of her beets, having sat behind her before and knowing how focused she can become.

"I have some healing portions, I bought them as soon as we returned to town, befor I started speding money on other things. I knew we would both run out of cash. " Luna said.
Kareen looked at her tray in puzzlement. I don't remember eating my beets. She looked around but didn't see anything unusual.

"Excellent! I spent my gold on repairing my armor and purchasing a magical sword!" Azuka replies. "Perhaps we won't need quite so many potions this time. Should we check at the temple for Pablo before we go? We may need another warrior."
The crafty bastard behind Kareen slips his extended straw into her ice tea when she turns back to the screen and drinks half the carafe.

Quickly Kareen gobbled her Meat Loaf and pottatoes, then dicover she was out of tea. Drat. She was thirsty. Taking her tray back to the dirty dish deposit she got a can of soda and returned to the coputer shaking her head slowly.
Kareen typed as Lina. "Another warior would make it much easier. Pablo is usually looking for gold. Ok, let's go see if we can find him. (Do you know if he is online) I never seem to kow where anyone is.'

Suddenly the guy behind Kareen found himself standing. What do you think you are doing mister. I know she is oblivious, bu that is still a dirty trick Paul said, shaking the guy slightly. I think you sould apologise and offer the lady a desert.
