Caleigh walked up to the office door and stared at it. She knew. She knew even before she opened the door. That woman would be behind it. She was always breaking something. And because the daytime repair crew consisted of a platoonfull of lazy monkeys who couldn't be troubled to cross all the way over to the mining offices, the repair requests would always end up in her night shift in-box. She sighed and reached for the door.
"What in the name of God did you break this time, Rob?" She asks as she opens it.

"This time it wasn't me, Honest." Rob said. "I just came in and found the largest jam in the copier." Hey your arm seems to be healing great. I am sorry I knocked that thing on it. " Rob smiled apologetically
You know Kaleigh, you are my favorite maintenance person. Tonight Lt. Delacroix offered to stay late and "entertain me" as if he could. You are much more my type. Want to join me for supper after this shift?

Caleigh laughs, "Listen to you, at it again." She says. "It'll be breakfast time by the time I'm off shift, you know. And really, I'm nobody's 'type'."
She makes her way to the copier and starts opening panels.

"Breakfast then. Sometimes I would like to have someone on the same schedule to talk to, do things with. I know there are lots of people here on night shift but so few I feel I can talk with. "
Rob returned to the typewrite and started typing. "By the way do you have a boyfriend or husband? I never thought to ask?"

"Nooooo, nonono," Caleigh says, "Most men just can't stand me at all, actually!" She grins. "Saves me a lot of time and hassle... can you hold this?" She waggles the topmost panel of the copier at Roberta. "Try not to drop it on me this time, Dear!"

Rob took the panel and braced it against her, I will be careful.
I wish I could get them to leave me alone. You are right about the time and hassle,,,, Breakfast then, please save me a place in the cafeteria.

Caleigh flops down on her back and wiggles her way into the copier, waist deep. She takes a small flashlight off her belt and clicks it on. "You're that desperate to get away from your fascinating Lieutenant? Allright, I'll save you a spot."

Who says he's fascinating. He is a disgusting pest, I would as soon have breakfast with a cockroach. I will look forward to breakfast then.

Caleigh laughs. "Breakfast with Sergeant Cockroach, right!" She says and squirms around, adjusting a particularly stubborn neo-nut. "Damn, you really did a number on this thing, I'd almost think you were breaking things on purpose!"

In this case it is lieutenant Cockroach, with and emphasis on the first syllable.
I told you this one is not mine. I haven't touched this machine since last night. You might as well check out the fax machine though. I think it might be broken as well.

"Copier, fax machine, got it," Caleigh says, then squawks as something inside flashes and six dozen photocopies of the Lieutenant's naked butt pump out of the machine.

Oh my goodness, I told you it wasn't mine. what ever could he have been thinking of. Do you suppose that is Lt. Cockroach? It would be just like him to do that. He thinks he is gods gift to women.

Caleigh sputters, then starts laughing out loud. "Oh my God, that is beyond odd!"

He is nothing if not persistent. You can understand why I would like to disillusion him. Even if I liked men, he is impossible.

"You ought to report him for sexual harrassment." Caleigh says, crawling out from under the copier and sealing it back up. "Give your area supervisor a copy of that... dignified image."
